KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Public Safety is investigating two shootings that happened late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
The first was just before midnight at a strip mall on Gull Road near Fairfield Avenue when as many as 20 shots were fired at a large gathering of people, and a man and a woman showed up at Borgess Hospital with gunshot wounds shortly afterward.
Five people were shot during an altercation on West Paterson Street west of Woodward Avenue just after 2 a.m. on Sunday.
A woman and four men arrived at a hospital and one of the men said he was the intended target, and he returned fire.
The shootings are not connected and neither is being considered random.
No arrests have been made.
