KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Starting Saturday, people can cast an in-person vote for the November election.
Kalamazoo County Clerk Meredith Place says local clerks are working together with her office to operate the early polling places, permitted by the reforms.
Only the clerk in Pavilion Township decided not to participate.
Those are the Kalamazoo County Expo Center at 2900 Lake Street; the Portage Parks & Recreation Department at 320 Library Lane; the Fetzer Center on the Western Michigan University campus at 2251 Business Court; and the Douglass Community Association at 1000 West Paterson Street in Kalamazoo.
Early in-person voting was approved by voters in Michigan in the 2022 election.
Proponents believe it will help cut down on the lines at polling locations on Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 5.
