KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — A 17-year-old is jailed after Kalamazoo Public Safety says he pulled a gun on two people during a failed robbery early Tuesday in the 500 block of Pearl Street.
It happened at around 12:40 a.m.
The victims sped away in their vehicle before any property could be taken, according to a press release. They were initially approached while leaving a house.
The suspect was arrested on Cedar Street. A male he was with was also arrested for violating parole.
The firearm was not recovered.
Investigators say the attempted robbery was not connected with a series of recent muggings in the Vine Neighborhood.
