BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A Battle Creek man has been arraigned on charges filed in connection with a triple shooting in the parking lot at the #1 Legends Club during the early morning hours of September 15.
26-year-old Rickeem Dawaun McClinton is facing three charges of aggravated assault with intent to murder, three counts of felony firearm and a count of felon in possession of a firearm.
He was arrested October 9 in Lansing following an investigation by the Battle Creek Police Department’s Gang Suppression Unit.
Three persons were treated at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital following the shooting with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victims included a 45-year-old Battle Creek man with a gunshot wound to his back. A 28-year-old Battle Creek man and a 37-year-old Springfield woman were both shot in the leg.
McClinton’s arrest was carried out in conjunction with the Michigan State Police First District Fugitive Team and the U.S. Marshals Service. McClinton was then transported to the Calhoun County Jail.
