KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The 44th Annual Model Train Show & Sale will be held this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center on Lake Street.
The event is sponsored by the Kalamazoo Model Railroad Historical Society and admission is free for kids 12 and under and $6 for everyone else.
The show will feature operating model railroads built by several southwest Michigan model railroad clubs and is a family friendly event. One of the layouts has also been designed specifically for children to be able to operate.
Officials with the Kalamazoo Model Railroad Historical Society say while they don’t know what vendors will bring until Sunday morning, they have brought model railroad and toy trains ranging from Thomas the Tank engine and Brio all the way to highly-detailed models intended for adults.
Vendors have also brought railroad artifacts, literature and books. Similar items are expected this year.
