KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – We are still two weeks from Election Day and already thousands of local residents have voted.
They did it through absentee ballots.
Kalamazoo City Clerk Scott Borling says those ballots are still available, but the deadline for applying by mail passed was Monday.
He says if you still want an absentee ballot, you will have to come in and get one.
He says the early numbers are promising.
Portage Mayor Patricia Randall says they are doing just a little better than that.
Borling says if you are a registered voter in the city, you can go to his office in City Hall or their satellite office at the Fetzer Center on Western Michigan University’s campus and fill out an absentee ballot today, and you will be done. If you’re not registered, they can take care of that too.
