BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM/FM) — Alcohol and gunplay has put a pair of Battle Creek men into jail cells after police responded to reports of shots fired on Merritt Street late Saturday night.
Witnessed told police both men were arguing on a front porch at around 11 p.m.
The gunman, who police say was drunk, pulled a gun and opened fire. Despite firing several rounds, he missed the other man.
Both went inside the home afterward.
Responding officers arrested the white male for attempted murder and gun charges. They seized two handguns found in the home.
The targeted man was wanted on outstanding warrants.
