KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Commuters on West Main have had to put up with intermittent lane closures for months as crews have installed new utilities to homes and businesses along the State Trunk line.
It has resulted in rattled nerves as drivers attempt left turns in construction zones and traffic jams at peak hours.
It turns out that that was just the preparation work for a much larger repaving project that will mean more lane closures over the next two months.
MDOT says the work will pop up between Turwill Lane in Kalamazoo Township all the way to Michigan Avenue Downtown and should be completed April 30th.
