KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Hundreds of people turned up for a women’s march in Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo Sunday, coming from all over Michigan and northwest Indiana.
The women called for support of reproductive health issues and gun control in the November election, including Haley Terpstra, who had two ectopic pregnancies that did permanent damage to her system.
Co-organizer Michelle Zukowski-Serlin said they do not want to be “going back to archaic laws” and need to protect women and children.
Others said the march was to energize people to vote and to express issues that were top concerns for women.
Speakers included the CEO of Planned Parenthood of Michigan and Moms Demand Action Kalamazoo.
