KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A teenager has being convicted for a deadly drive-by shooting in Kalamazoo.
On Mother’s Day in 2023, 33-year-old Marcus Pierce was fatally shot and two others were injured in a drive-by shooting at the corner of North Westnedge Avenue and Ada Street.
On Monday, 19-year-old Demario Jackson was convicted on murder charges and he now faces 18 to 50-years in prison.
A second person who was in the car with Jackson, 18-year-old Andrew Johnson, has a pre-trial hearing scheduled for October 21st.
