LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM/FM) — Investigators say a 25-year-old Hartford man was at least twice over the legal blood-alcohol limit when he backed into a Van Buren County Sheriff’s cruiser.
The fender-bender happened late Friday in a parking lot near Red Arrow Highway and County Road 681. Both vehicles suffered minor damage.
His two-year-old son strapped in the back seat of the vehicle. The man was arrested and may be prosecuted under the “super drunk” statute, and was also charged with child endangerment.
The child was turned over to his mother unharmed.
