COLON TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM/FM) — Two people had to be rushed to a hospital after a two-vehicle crash at Farrand and Colon roads in Colon Township.
It happened before 3 p.m. Saturday. St. Joseph County Sheriff’s investigators say 27-year-old Matthew Chorpenning stuck the side of 25-year-old Kyle Wirgau’s vehicle, then drove into a tree.
Wirgau and a 23-year-old woman in Chorpenning’s vehicle suffered unknown injuries.
Chorpenning, who told investigators he didn’t see Wirgau’s vehicle, was later cited for failure to yield.
