ALLEGAN (WKZO AM/FM) — A woman from Douglas is now charged with driving drunk causing the death of 42- year-old Jeremy Slenk of Saugatuck.
Allegan County Deputies were dispatched to 116th Avenue in Ganges Township Sunday night where they found the wreck of a pick-up that had rolled over several times in the roadway.
Slenk was ejected from the pick-up as it spun, suffering a severe head injury. He was airlifted to Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo but didn’t survive.
The driver, 37-year-old Meghann Corcoran Owen was still strapped in to the wreck.
She was treated for minor injuries and then arrested and booked into the jail.
Shewas charged yesterday with drunken driving and driving on a suspended license causing death, and for possession of a controlled substance.
