CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – With Election Day just over a month away, Calhoun County Clerk and Register of Deeds Kimberly Hinkley is reminding voters that there are multiple ways to vote.
Registered voters in Calhoun County may still obtain an Absentee Ballot for the November 5 General Election. Contact your local city or township clerk to obtain an application to vote absentee, or go to www.michigan.gov/vote for an application. Absentee ballots must be returned to the voter’s local city or township clerk by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
For those who prefer to vote in person, Early In-Person Voting begins October 26 and will run until November 3.
There are two locations for Early In Person voting.
Registered voters in the cities of Albion and Marshall as well as in the townships of Albion, Athens, Burlington, Clarence, Clarendon, Convis, Eckford, Emmett, Charter, Fredonia, Homer, Lee, Leroy, Marengo, Marshall, Newton, Sheridan and Tekonsha will vote at the Calhoun County Building at 315 West Green Street in Marshall between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
Registered voters in the cities of Battle Creek and Springfield as well as in Bedford and Pennfield Townships can vote early at the Kool Family Center at 200 West Michigan Avenue in Battle Creek from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m..
Individuals must be registered to vote prior to going to an Early In-Person Voting Site. Anyone not registered can register online at the State’s Secretary of State website or at their local City or Township Clerk.
Polls on Election Day, November 5 will be are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m..
