SALEM TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Three people are hospitalized after a crash between a SUV and a truck in Allegan County Monday afternoon.
The sheriff’s office says calls came in to dispatch just after 5 p.m. of a crash with injuries at 30th Street and 144th Avenue in Salem Township.
Deputies found the SUV was heading east and did not stop at a stop sign, colliding with the northbound truck.
Alcohol and speed do not appear to have been factors, but police say some of the injuries may be due to seat belt usage.
Two passengers from the SUV and the sole occupant of the truck were taken to local hospitals to be treated.
The crash caused a power outage in the immediate area.
