CLARENDON TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A 26-year-old man from Tekonsha lost his life early Saturday morning following an off-road vehicle crash in Calhoun County.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says the crash was reported at about 12:18 a.m. in the 700 block of 19 Mile Road in Clarendon Township.
They say in a news release that the driver lost control of the ATV and crashed into a tree.
Despite life-saving efforts, including a request for Survival Flight for medical transport, the driver succumbed to his injuries during the flight and was pronounced dead.
As of Saturday morning, the fatal victim’s name has not been released.
The Sheriff’s Office received assistance at the scene from the Tekonsha Fire Department, the Marshall Area Fire Fighters Ambulance Authority, and the Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
