One man injured after being shot during an argument overnight in Cass County

VANDALIA, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An argument that turned physical led to one man being shot in the foot in the Village of Vandalia early Wednesday.

Just before 2:00 a.m. the Cass County Sheriff’s Office was called to 18089 State Street in Vandalia on the report of a shooting. Deputies say that during an argument between two men, a 24-year-old was shot in the foot. The other man fled the scene before deputies arrived.

The gunshot victim was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect remains at large, but the Sheriff’s Office says there currently is no public threat.
