KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Following the recent cancellation of its annual free Thanksgiving dinner, hunger-relief charity God’s Kitchen of Michigan has announced a partnership with former American Idol Matt Giraud to raise funds for its annual Free Christmas Dinner.
The organization had previously partnered with Giraud in a campaign to raise funds for its Christmas dinner last year, which ended up being a success.
In total, the GoFundMe campaign for Christmas dinner is looking to raise $7,500. The money will be used to provide free dinners, toys, and toiletries for homeless and other needy citizens living in Kalamazoo.
Citizens can make a tax-deductible donation to the cause through the GoFundMe campaign, or by mailing a check or money order to the following address:

Kalamazoo, Michigan 49003
The free Thanksgiving dinner had been canceled due to a lack of funding, according to Pastor William Stein, Chairman of God’s Kitchen of Michigan.
