KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM/FM) — Investigators are blaming a woman for causing the head-on ejection crash last weekend that ended her life.
Kalamazoo Township police say Casey Lynn Stickel was southbound on Douglas Avenue when she strayed across the centerline and slammed into a northbound SUV.
Investigators say the 27-year-old had been drinking and wasn’t buckled in on March 19, and was ejected. She suffered critical brain injuries that would eventually claim her life.
Her two children, which were strapped into the back seat, and the driver and passenger in the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries.
