DEARBORN (WKZO AM/FM) — Ford is issuing a recall for 53,000 F-250 pick-ups because they may just roll away on their own.
Apparently they may have installed a damaged park rod actuating plate which prevents the vehicle from going into park when its owner shifts it to “P”.
Ford is urging the owners of the six-point-two-liter models of the F-250 to use the parking brake at all times when stopped to prevent the vehicle from moving.
The trucks were assembled between October of 2015 and this month at its truck plant in Louisville, Kentucky.
The company said there have been no reports of injuries or accidents.
Of Course, they will fix it for free.
