KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo detectives have opened a death investigation following the discovery of the body of a man along the Kalamazoo Valley River Trail bike path off the 400 block of North Westnedge Avenue
. The body was reported at 6:38 am. Responding officers found an unresponsive male who was quickly determined to be deceased.
Lt. Brad Misner says there were no signs of trauma on the 44-year-old male, who has been identified.
His name is being withheld until his family is notified.
An autopsy is planned at the W-Med Forensic Center.
