RICHLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Gull Lake Country Club has agreed to pay just over $440,000 to resolve a federal case that they obtained a COVID-19 pandemic loan despite not being eligible.
U.S. Department of Justice officials announced the agreement yesterday.
U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Mark Totten says the payment will resolve the civil case from the country club getting the loan in 2020 from the Paycheck Protection Program.
The PPP program was part of the CARES Act approved in March 2020 that was meant to help organizations recover economically from the pandemic.
