KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — The search committee looking for the next president of Western Michigan University has apparently wrapped up its work a little ahead of schedule, and it appears they have a winner.
A special meeting of trustees has been set for Wednesday to vote on the selection of a single candidate who has emerged from a search process that began last fall. The choice follows the recommendation of three finalists by the search committee.
The final round of interviews was conducted by the trustees. Apparently, that candidate wants the job. He or she is expected to be at the meeting and will be introduced to the public Wednesday.
The meeting is set to take place at 11 a.m. in the Heritage Hall ballroom.
Their choice, once a contract is finalized, will replace John Dunn over the summer.
