LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says she will not be intimidated after her home was targeted twice in 48 hours by swatting attacks.
Benson thanked police for their swift responses in a social media post yesterday.
She notes swatting “is a form of political violence that is horrific, dangerous and intended to terrify its victims,” and adds the threats have not and will not deter her from her job.
Benson was the third Michigan politician targeted by swatting since the August primary, with Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin and former Congressman Mike Rogers being victims as they are both running for the U.S. Senate.
