Michigan Task Force 1 deployed to South Carolina for storm response

LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Task Force 1 is headed to South Carolina for the threat of flooding from Tropical Storm Debby.

The 18 member team is expected to be deployed until August 15. Six other states are also sending help to South Carolina.

It is the third time Michigan Task Force 1 has been deployed through Emergency Management Assistance Compact, or EMAC, requests since last July.
