KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — Metro Transit will be celebrating Earth Day by offering free bus rides.
The public transportation agency is using the holiday to promote greener travel. They’re also hoping to turn prospective new riders on to the benefits of public transportation.
“It’s a time for us to be able to encourage people to use public transportation and put it into their daily mix of how they move about our community,” Central County Transportation Authority Board Chairperson Linda Teeter said on Friday.
Free ride coupons can be picked up at select Harding’s Friendly Market locations. A list of locations and more information about the promotion can be found here.
