BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — One teen is in the Calhoun County Jail and the other in the hospital after she ended an argument between the couple just before 7 last evening by running him over, twice.
Battle Creek Police say the two 18-year-olds apparently got into a fight at a home in the 100 block of Ridge Street over money for marijuana.
The girlfriend tried to leave and he jumped on the hood of her car. The Paw Paw woman took off anyway and ran him over the when he fell off the moving vehicle.
Witnesses told police she then intentionally ran over him again.
The boyfriend’s leg was broken in two places but he is expected to recover after therapy.Police credit the witnesses for identifying her vehicle which led to a quick arrest.
