BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Officers got just a little more than they were expecting when they were dispatched to investigate three cars that had been burglarized near Highland Blvd and 31st Street at 2:30 saturday morning.
Witnesses saw the man leave the area and told police where to look. When they approached a man who matched the description, he pulled a handgun from his waistband and tossed it behind him.
He was arrested and they found evidence from the car-thefts on his person.
The 33-year-old was booked into the County Jail for larceny and gun counts.
