BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — It has been over a decade since Lian Thawng, an immigrant from Myanmar was last seen at the Intermodal Transportation Center on McCamley in Battle Creek.
His friends and family did not know where he was going and they have not seen or heard from him since.
He disappeared in December of 2006, but family members only recently discussed the situation with Battle Creek Detectives.
They were investigating a separate, unrelated issue when the subject came up.
Thawng initially escaped his own troubled country, moving to Guam and then to the U.S. in 2001.
