UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — Michigan really has two colorful seasons. Fall may be the most obvious as leaves turn red and yellow for a few weeks and then need raking.
But there is also this short period of the year we call Blossomtime in west Michigan.
And there is no raking afterwards.
We found some spectacular trees during a ride through the Stuart and Northside Neighborhoods.
The others turn from grey to green as the days grow longer.
It can be a miserable time for those with allergies but for the rest of us, it’s a time of renewal.
Kalamazoo Township Supervisor Steve Leuty says if you have elderly or disabled neighbors and their lawn starts looking raggedy at this time of the year, lend a hand.
He says there might just be a plate of cookies coming your way if you do.
