DOWLING (WKZO-AM/FM) — Firefighters from at least three departments had to be called in to put out an early Wednesday structure fire on M-37 near Tebo Road north of Dowling.
It was reported in the 7400 block before 5 a.m.
WWMT-TV reports a bedridden woman had to be pulled from the second floor of the house and was flown to a hospital in Grand Rapids. A man was rushed by ambulance to a hospital with heart problems.
WXMI-TV reports two dogs were able to escape the flames.
At this stage, it’s not clear what started the fire.
