RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) – Brazil and the United States will unveil a joint climate transition initiative, Brazilian Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said on Wednesday, after earlier meeting with U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
Haddad told journalists at the sidelines of a G20 meeting in Rio de Janeiro a potential new U.S. government would not interfere in Brazil’s relationship with the United States.
“I don’t see how a government alternation could put this partnership being built with Secretary Yellen at risk”, he said.
