KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt of Van Buren County says with President Biden exiting the presidential race this fall, he needs to take one more step.
Nesbitt is far from the only Republican calling for Biden to step down completely. Others include U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, who also called for the President to resign after Biden announced Sunday he was getting out of the race.
Many American voters from all political parties did not want to see a rematch of 2020 between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
Vice President Kamala Harris is receiving endorsements for President from other Democratic leaders ahead of their convention next month.
