BALTIMORE TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM/FM) — The family of a Barry County woman, who was initially trapped in a burning home Wednesday, have started a GoFundMe page to raise money for her medical expenses.
They say Janet Kidder remains in critical condition, on a ventilator and heavily sedated after suffering second- and third-degree burns over 30 percent of her body. She also sustained lung damage.
The fire at the residence on M-37 near Hastings was spotted by a passerby, who went to work on the blaze with a garden hose after calling 911.
Kidder’s father was able to get out of the home, but she was bedridden and had to be rescued by firefighters.
