VICKSBURG (WKZO-AM/FM) — Pooches and their owners will hit the trails at Prairie View Park in Vicksburg this Saturday for the Kalamazoo Humane Society’s 2017 Dog Walk and K-9 Festival.
The annual event provides major funding for several of the organization’s programs, including spay and neuter services and the pet food bank.
Julie Barber, who is with the humane society, said the celebration starts at 9 a.m.
“It’s a two-mile walk through beauitful paved trails in Prairie View Park,” Barber said. “Then, when you come out, there’s a festival with entertainment.”
On-site registration is $30. More information about the event can be found here.
