LANSING, MI — Some residents of Lansing are seeing inflated summer tax bills arrive in the mail this week. The city confirmed on its social media accounts Monday night that some tax bill statements mailed are incorrect.
The post from the City of Lansing said the issue mostly impacts people who pay their taxes through an escrow account and then receive a watermarked copy of the tax bill.
The city says it will correct the error and those affected by the error will get corrected bills soon. Accurate bills are available online, according to the city. Summer taxes are to Sept. 3, 2024.
