BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM/FM) — Battle Creek police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to abduct a 6-year-old from a yard in the 100 block of Harris Street late Saturday.
They say a male, who was wearing sunglasses and driving an older red Chevrolet Cavalier two-door sedan with tinted windows, tried to entice a child who was playing in the yard of the home.
It happened at about 8 p.m.
The suspect fled when a family member stepped out of the house, the Battle Creek Police Department said. That adult tried to get the car’s license number, but the plate had been removed.
Anyone with information is asked to contact 911 or Silent Observer at (269) 964-3888.
