GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Eight west Michigan counties are under a Clear Air Action Day declared by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes & Energy.
Allegan, Barry, Cass, Kent, Muskegon, Oceana, Ottawa, and Van Buren counties are part of the advisory as ozone will form in large enough quantities to cause issues for people sensitive to it.
EGLE is urging people to not refuel their vehicle, use gas-powered lawn equipment, set fires, or put lighter fluid on a charcoal grill during the day today.
They also recommend staying inside with the windows closed and the air conditioning on.
