PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Help is still available for anyone struggling with the aftermath of last month’s tornado in Portage.
Chris Buckley at the Portage Community Outreach Center told the Portage city council that they still have financial resources and donated items available for anyone who needs assistance.
In fact, the response has been so generous they have temporarily halted taking in any new donations of goods.
He says they also have assistance available for anyone still looking for housing.
Buckley says they have helped over five dozen families so far with a wide variety of services and predicts they will still be fielding requests well into next year.
The Portage Community Outreach Center is located at 325 East Centre Avenue.
