PORTAGE (WKZO AM/FM) — Holiday traffic congestion near Portage on I-94 resulted in a chain reaction collision involving four vehicles including a Charter Bus.
At about 5:30 Friday a Chevy Silverado trying to make the ramp from the interstate to northbound US 131 ran into congestion and had to brake.
The bus was traveling behind it and the driver was unable to brake in time and collided with the rear of the Silverado, forcing it forward into an SUV, which was then pushed into the back of a Dodge Ram pickup. ‘
The driver of the Silverado and four passengers in the bus were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. It remains under investigation.
