JACKSON, MI — Jackson Police released the name of the homicide victim from Lansing who died in a shooting in Jackson Sunday evening.
Police say Kalil Calunga-Rodriguez, a 17-year-old from Lansing, was shot in the chest near a home in the 400 block of Griswold Street around 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening in what they believe was a drive by shooting. Police say they believe a suspect shot the victim from a car driving eastbound on Griswold Street. The teen died at a local hospital.
Police say their investigation into the homicide is continuing. No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with details of the shooting should call (517) 768-8769.
