KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The suspect in a brutal stabbing death at the Interfaith Homes has been order held without bond after her arraignment in 8th Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon.
20-year-old Kalamazoo resident, Olivia Berry has been charged with open murder and Judge Christopher Haenicke ordered that she remain in the Kalamazoo County Jail until her preliminary hearing in June.
Berry is charged with the early Tuesday stabbing death of 23-year-old Ieasha Walker, the woman that her father was living with. Walker suffered multiple stab wounds.
Detectives have interviewed all the witnesses and say they have a pretty good idea of what the motive was for the domestic disturbance that turned deadly. None of that was presented in court during the video arraignment.
