KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An organization that hopes to provide more opportunities for people with disabilities in Kalamazoo is reaching out to garner more volunteers to expand those opportunities.
The non-profit Friends with Disabilities says it’s dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive community for individuals with physical disabilities, who often feel isolated due to their physical disabilities.
The group hosts events twice a month to offer social, recreational, and educational opportunities for their members.
They are currently seeking more members who can benefit from the group’s activities, as well as volunteers that might have experience working with individuals with disabilities or simply a passion for helping others.
