KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Dozens of activists trying to rein in gun laws and gun violence appeared at an informational demonstration across from the Art Fest last night.
Right now one of the battles that Moms Demand Action is fighting is in the State Legislature where a bill that would do away with Michigan’s Concealed Carry regulations has been proposed. They say their national organization is fighting a bill in congress that would permit anyone to own a silencer.
Also participating in the event were ISAAC and the Coalition for Common Ground.
The groups say they aren’t against guns, just the unregulated proliferation of firearms, and they support common sense laws to limit the mayhem that guns cause in society.
Many of them are survivors of gun incidents or have lost relatives to gun violence.
