CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A former Calhoun County corrections deputy entered a no contest plea Tuesday to a charge of having child sexually abusive material.
34-year-old Kurtis Cunkle is facing up to ten years in prison.
Cunkle turned himself in last year after Michigan State Police discovered he kept the illegal material on a cloud-based storage service.
He later resigned from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. Part of the plea agreement calls for Cunkle to register as a sex offender.
