PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Portage city council has approved their tentative budget for the coming fiscal year which begins on July 1st.
City Manager Pat McGinnis says there will be an increase in utility bills, but a lot of good things too.
Among them are more police officers, more help in the clerk’s office and funding for the new Farmers Market.
Mayor Patricia Randall says recent events will require the budget eventually be amended.
It was approved unanimously.
