U.S. 131 bridge rebuilding project over KL Avenue to cause lane closures this week

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Paving work next week could cause some delays during the evening and overnight on U.S. 131 this week.

As part of the U.S. 131 bridge rebuilding project over KL Avenue in Kalamazoo, the Michigan Department of Transportation says it will have nighttime single-lane closures on U.S. 131 between West Main and Stadium Drive in Kalamazoo from 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, through Sunday, June 2, for paving work on median cross-over lanes.

The work is weather dependent, and MDOT says motorists should anticipate delays.
