KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Public Safety Department has jobs to fill due to retirements and funding from the Foundation for Excellence and the application period begins tomorrow.
Interested parties have 18 days, or until June 25th to apply online, no experience necessary. It helps but it’s not a requirement because the city trains its own…it has to.
Kalamazoo requires all of its officers to be certified police officers, put out fires and qualified as medical first responders.
Applicants will have to pass a written test and a physical test and clear an extensive background investigation before they will even be considered.
Other requirements are that applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, at least 21-years-old, hold a driver’s license and be a high school graduate.
Applications are only accepted online. We have the address right here. https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/kalamazoomi.
