KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The graduation season is well underway in Kalamazoo. In the town that prides itself as the “Education City”, it is a finish line for some and a stepping stone for others.
Two of the biggest graduation events take place over the next two days as Loy Norrix holds its Graduation Ceremony tonight, and Kalamazoo Central seniors matriculate Thursday night at the Wings Event Center.
Board President Patty Sholler-Barber says it is critical that the community work together to get as many children to such ceremonies as possible.
Improving the Graduation rate is what it’s all about.
There are 27 separate graduation events in the Kalamazoo Public Schools alone.Portage Northern and Central High Schools held their ceremonies last Thursday and Friday.
