KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — A three-car collision at South Burdick and Cork streets in Kalamazoo has left one person dead and two others with life-threatening injuries.
Kalamazoo Public Safety Lt. Michael Kelley says, just after noon on Sunday, a northbound vehicle entered the intersection at high speed, ignoring a red light, slamming into two other vehicles that were east and west bound.
The impact of the crash scattered debris all over the intersection.
One of the three victims died while being pryed from wreckage. Two others were transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital in serious and critical conditions.
No names have been released pending the notification of family. It remains under investigation.
